USEH-Australia Internship Program
Duration
Professional Internships: min 3 months max 6 months. Hospitality
Internships: min 6 months max 12 months
Hourly Wage / Monthly Income
The allowance differs depending on the sector, company, position, and weekly hours worked. But generally, the
hourly wage is between A$12 ? A$16.
Fields of Internship
Paid Internship Fields: Tourism & Hotel Management/ Culinary Management
Non Paid Internship Fields: Business/Office Administration, Finance, HR, Marketing, Sales, Engineering
Accommodation
USEH will assist the participant with temporary accommodation arrangements
depending on the need/interest of the participant. We recommend home stay as a
great personal introduction and welcome to the daily life in Australia.
Living with an Australian family will give you a unique insight into the culture and values of the country and assist in
preparing you for the business environment.
Health Insurance
All participants are required to have medical & dental, accident, travel, and personal liability insurance for
the duration of their internship. Without the medical insurance, you will not be
issued a visa.
Orientation
Before traveling to Australia, applicants will be provided orientation information regarding the environment,
living conditions, cultural differences/similarities, general work environment,
and visa confirmation procedures.
Visa Procedure
The visa process and approval will be completed by Australian Immigration Services. When the candidate is
approved for the visa, the related confirmation authorization letter will be
submitted by USEH to the participant to be endorsed with his/her passport at the
local Australian Embassy/Consulate.
Transportation
USEH plans the travel dates, and assists the candidate in purchasing economic tickets.
Program Start Dates
Year-round applications are possible. The official application must be completed at least three months in advance
of the desired starting date.
Eligibility

Certificate II, III, or IV diploma or degree from a professional school,
college, TAFE or university

1-2 Years of industry experience
minimum
four months of prior training or experience in your relevant field
no more than 1-2 Years of industry experience

The candidates must be between 18-29 years old

A minimum of upper-intermediate English level is required. The level of the
candidate?s English will be determined by USEH consultants during the interviews

Important Note
Recent Change in Policy: Applicants from following countries which are
determined as high risk countries are required to submit 1000.00 USD deposit fee
addition to application fee once they are accepted to the program. This
fee will be a deposit towards the total program fee which is due once applicant
is secured a placement with an employer. High Risk Countries: Indonesia, India,
Nepal, Iran, Iraq

Upon deciding to apply for the program, the applicant should present resume to USEH and/or fill out
the online application form at

If the applicant is found eligible for our programs, s/he is invited for an interview with USEH
Consultants

Applicants who pass the interview and evaluation are then invited to complete an official application

To complete the official application, the applicant must submit the required documents
including the application fee, which is nonrefundable

The placement process will begin for the official applicant and will take 6-10 weeks under normal
conditions
- Once the participant is secured a position, the offer letter including the conditions such as hours
per week, stipend, training plan, housing, etc. will be provided to the
participant for review and signature

In addition to the placement agreement (between the intern and the host company), the intern will
be required to sign an agreement with USEH. This agreement will
outline the responsibilities and duties of parties, the intern & USEH. USEH will
not take further responsibility for any intern who violates the agreement
conditions during the program.
