How many interns/trainees can I hire?
The number of interns/ trainees at your property should not exceed 20% of the
total number of your employees.

How long does the visa process take after we select the interns/ trainees?
The visa paperwork takes 3-4 weeks from our end; including he visa application
process of the intern/ trainee in their home country it takes min 6 weeks for
them to arrive and start the program

How can I review the candidates USEH has?
You can request from USEH to e-mail you the candidates resumes/ profiles or you
can visit our online database at
www.useh.org
employer section and login with the user ID & password you will be provided.

How can I screen the candidates?
Besides reviewing the resumes, USEH will schedule interviews for you with the
candidates you’d like to interview; the interviews can be scheduled over the
phone or via Skype which allows face to face meeting with the candidate.

Does USEH charge employers any fees for the consultancy/ assistance provided?
No, USEH Services are free to host companies

Who completes the visa paperwork?
USEH assist the host company in preparing the offer letters for accepted
candidates and their training plans (ds 7002). USEH also handles the visa
paperwork for the candidates.

Does USEH assist interns/ trainees after their arrival?
Yes, if the employer requires USEH may send a representative to your property to
assist the group of interns/ trainees arriving for the program with their
accommodation arrangements/ SS# applications/ Bank account establishment etc
(this service is provided for min 7 intern/trainees arriving at the same time
frame)

Does USEH follow interns/ trainees during their program?
Yes, USEH sends the employer and the intern evaluation forms regarding the
program to be filled out by each intern/ trainee individually.

How does USEH build up their candidate database?
USEH recruits all year round from all around the world candidates who are
interested to come to US and have an international experience in the field they
have studied/ experienced in their home country. There is certain qualification
requirements set for candidates to apply and qualify for the program. USEH
reviews candidate profiles based on the criteria’s required by the US State
Department.

Does USEH prescreen/ interview candidates before adding them to database?
Yes, USEH conducts face to face interview with each candidate who qualify for
the program technically. The interview is handled by USEH Consultants based at
USEH Atlanta office to review the candidate’s level of English fluency and
understand their expectations about the program and decides if these can be met
based on their qualifications.
