Terms of Conditions for Application The applicant must:
- Be currently enrolled and/or have minimum 2 years of university/college
degree - Have 3 months of industrial experience in the field that he/she is
applying for internship/traineeship - Have minimum "upper intermediate"
level of English. - Be between the ages of 18-33
Is it a must
to be graduated from a university for applying to any program? For
the short term Summer Work & Travel program you still have to be enrolled at
the university/college however for the long term internship/trainee program
minimum of 2 years university/college education is a
requirement.
Can I apply to a hotel-internship/traineeship
program even if I am not graduated from related field of study? A
candidate can only apply for an internship/traineeship program in the field that
he/she has studied at the university/college or in the field he/she has had a
min. two years of experience.
Is it possible for me to join the
traineeship/internship program although I do not have any industrial
experience? For the long term traineeship/internship program it is a
mandatory requirement to have min. 3 months of industrial
experience. How many interviews I have to participate to be
chosen for an internship/traineeship program? First interview is
done by USEH consultants. After this interview the applicant will make a
conference call/ net-meeting with the potential
host-employer.
After my official acceptance for the program, when
I would be able to start the program? The total process takes up to
10 to 18 weeks.
What is the duration of the
program? For currently enrolled university/college students the
possible short term SWT program is for 4 months. For applicants graduated from a
university/college the long term CDP program is possible for 6/ 12/ 18 months
(total 4 different programs to choose from)
What is the
application fee? After the initial interview with USEH consultants,
if the candidate is found eligible for joining the program; the applicants is
obligated to pay the 350 USD application fee while submitting the documents need
for the official application as stated on the USEH Application
Agreement.
What are the program fees for each
program? Detailed info about the each program cost can be learned
from USEH Offices/Consultants.
What are the possible host
companies I can do my internship/traineeship ? Placements are made
usually to international chain properties such as Marriott, Hyatt Regency
Hotels, Intercontinental Hotels, local chain properties as well as four diamond
five star / five diamond five start independent properties. Are
these traineeship/ internship program s paid programs? The intern,
depending to the host company and the department placed will have an hourly wage
of 7 USD - 11 UD per hour which will be approximately 1.000 USD - 2000 USD on
monthly basis. 1500$. Total hours of internship is approximately 35-40 hours per
week. In case of exceeding the 40 hours per week, the trainee will have overtime
payment which is the 1 ½ of the hourly wage.
How is the weekly
work schedule? Work schedules are made weekly by the department
managers and it depends/varies according to each department/position. The
trainees/participants are expected to be flexible on their
schedules.
In which position/level will I be starting my
internship? All positions are entry level; the trainee can be given
more responsibilities and a higher level of status based on the performance and
his/her ability to take responsibility and communication skills.
